Catering during the current COVID - 19 restrictions  - NSW

The Roo Brothers Catering is closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation. We have put in precautionary measures to ensure our staff and guests are safe following the announcement of the Corona Virus outbreak and with cases identified in Australia. The safety and wellbeing of The Roo Brothers clients, guests, visitors and employees is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring the situation with Coronavirus (Covid-19) and advice provided by the Australian Government Department of Health. We are responding appropriately as the situation evolves and will provide further updates as necessary. We have instructed our staff / contractors to adhere to guidelines around delivery of services, attendance at our Sydney and NSW locations and to follow specific hygiene and etiquette when onsite.

Cleaning & Hygiene

We have increased training with food handling staff including practicing proper hand washing and sanitising procedures, cough etiquette and staying home if they are unwell or unsure. Our Team Members have trained in Hygiene / COVID compliance, and we have and will regularly undertake deep cleaning of the entire premise. We will be regularly cleaning areas and surfaces that are frequently touched and observing Safe Work Australia’s cleaning standards applying to hospitality venues. Alcohol-based sanitiser will be made available at entry and exit, as well as other locations throughout the premise. Employees are required to wash their hands at least once every 30 minutes.

Physical distancing

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure guests and employees comply with Safe Work Australia’s physical distancing standards applying to our service and venues. Physical contact with customers will be avoided

Wedding and Event Catering

The maximum number of people who may attend a wedding or a gathering following a wedding service cannot be greater than 150 people subject to the 4 square metre rule and registration as a COVID-Safe business. If the wedding takes place in a place of worship, the number of people attending must not exceed 100 people, subject to the 4 square meter rule. People attending will be required to provide their name and contact details so that they can be used for contact tracing.

Outdoor public gatherings

No more than 20 people are allowed to gather outside in a public place.

Private Home Events

Up to 20 guests may attend an event in a private home at any one time. The total number of guests includes adults and children.
